LIGHTS UP ON THE ARTS | Not Done Yet

After an overwhelming response, Joshua Robson Productions and host/director, James Cutler, will be back to continue to shine that light on the Australian musical theatre industry and support artists in their next production,

This will be held via Facebook on Friday 19th June from 7pm.

We shed just a small light on our industry during โ€œhome deliveryโ€, but we are not done yet. We are an industry that thrives in tough times, we are resilient, we are defiant and we will endeavour to continue to provide you with professional productions direct to your lounge room because we have stories and songs to share with you.

We are lucky enough to have an industry that bands together in tough times, and thanks to the teams from PRG Australia and JPJ Audio we have a broadcasting studio to bring you live entertainment with the The Jack Earle Trio accompanying our artists live. Despite all this, we loved crossing to the living rooms of some of Australia's finest performers last time, so we will still be Zooming around the country to see them all too!

We also recognise that we have a beautiful opportunity to shine the spotlight where we need to shine it and support the voice of those that need to be heard. So along with Josh Robson and James Cutler, the entire company of 'Lights Up on the Arts: not done yet' will be donating 5% of the box office takings to Ilbijerri Theatre Company

LIGHTS UP ON THE ARTS | Home Delivery

The Arts may have been knocked down, but we haven't been knocked out.

โ€˜Lights Up On The Arts: Home Delivery!โ€™ is a special and important concert created by James Cutler and Joshua Robson Productions, which serves as a way to shine a light on our industry and support performers whose livelihoods have been impacted by the COVID-19 Arts shutdown.

Over an incredible evening, we will take a live audience into the living rooms of performers from shows such as Shrek The Musical AustraliaSchool of Rock the MusicalCharlie and the Chocolate Factory Australia, Merrily We Roll Along (Luckiest Productions), Come From Away AustraliaHarry Potter and the Cursed Child9 to 5 the Musical Australia and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, to name a few.

We have had express permission from Mr Stephen Schwartz to have access to his catalogue of music. Stephen has an incredible and rich collection of songs that taps into so many important themes that will create the through-line of our concert: connection, togetherness, unity, a second chance, finding oneself, the joys of a simple life, and hope. It is our hope that the optimistic and uplifting nature of his music, together with our program, will remind Australia and beyond that the Arts matter, that we are a source of joy in the world, and, failing all else, the Arts will sustain our world even through the toughest of situations. We think thatโ€™s worth celebrating!

We look forward to having you tune in from the comfort of your couch on May 11th 2020 on Facebook live. For details, stay connected with this page: facebook.com/joshuarobsonproductions
