Theatre People

With original music by Hugo Chiarella and Robert Tripolino (DreamSong), Guilty Pleasures sees music theatre dynamo Angelique Cassimatis (Rocky Horror Picture Show, Prisiclla: Queen of the Desert) portray the lives of ordinary women driven to acts of extraordinary violence.

Josh Robson’s (Rob Guest Endowment Winner, Les Miserables) book explores how love, passion, jealousy, loneliness and desperation can lead us to react far beyond the limits we ever thought we would. With a live 4-piece band led by Geoffrey Castles (Les Miserables, Aladdin) and choreography by Amy Campbell (In the Heights, Oklahoma), Guilty Pleasures is as dark as it is witty and energetic.

“...the creative maturity of this trio is impressive, and pleasing to know that the development of new Australian work is in very good hands.”

Arts Review
